Questions About Chopta & Auli Tour From Delhi

Is this tour suitable for families, kids, and senior citizens?

Yes, the tour is suitable for families and senior citizens, but with some considerations. Auli is fully accessible by road and ropeway, making it easy for all age groups. Chopta is also reachable by road, but the Tungnath trek requires good physical fitness. Families with kids or seniors can enjoy Chopta’s meadows without trekking to Tungnath if preferred.

What activities can I enjoy during the Chopta & Auli Tour?

Travelers can enjoy nature walks, scenic photography, birdwatching, and peaceful stays in Chopta—often referred to as the “Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand.” In Auli, you can experience the famous ropeway ride, skiing and snow play in winter, serene viewpoints, and scenic trails overlooking Nanda Devi and the surrounding peaks.

What should I pack for the Chopta–Auli trip starting from Delhi?

Carry warm woollen clothing, jackets, gloves, caps, and comfortable trekking shoes, as both destinations have cool climates year-round. Essentials include sunscreen, sunglasses, a reusable water bottle, power bank, snacks, and personal medicines. If traveling in winter, pack heavy woollens and waterproof boots, as both regions receive snowfall.

When is the best time to take the Chopta & Auli Tour from Delhi?

The best time to visit is April to June for pleasant weather and green landscapes, and December to February if you want to enjoy snow in Auli and winter views in Chopta. The monsoon season (July–September) brings lush beauty but may also cause slippery roads and trek paths.
